We are the IV-Diamond SY 2009-2010

we are waiting for this moment of your announcement of looking for the next oluams. see, we’re not just interested but we are also excited to be a part of your group.

since july this year, we have been competing every month and as what fate has given us, we always bring home the golden bacon of championship. our jingle steps and tunes are 100% original and was always composed with relevance to the theme of the presentation.

we are the II-Amethyst Rhythmizers that was the champion of jingle competition at the year 2007-2008. now that we have grown up and learned even more in jingle presentations, we truly are the best section to step at the fifth platform of champions.

Lileth Claudel is a close friend of mine. There are times that we seperated from the group and talked together about lots of things. It has been two months since I had a conversation with her. I never thought that the time our classmates will have our get-together, is during her burial. I can’t believe she passed away.

It was exactly 11:10 (March 21, 2009)  when one of high school classmate informed me that Lei passed away yesterday. “Trip lang yan!”, I said. I just ignored it and prepared for my defense. Right after my defense, someone texted my classmate confirming the news to be true. I, and Marlon, hurried to the said place where her remains was laid. I cried when I realized it was really true. I miss you Lei!!!

If I’m not mistaken, Nov 3, 2008 is our 3rd Anniversary of friendship. (Walangya! hindi pa sigurado?)

By the way, it is also the last time I saw Jhoanna. I, together with Marlon Leonardo, went to Jhoanna’s house to see her. Then we talked about a lot of things, especially high school life and of course, OLUAM. We also ate our dinner there. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photo of her as my remembrance.

I’ll miss you Ms. Jhoanna Gem Marquez-Cruz, my loviest, cutest, and best friend.

Did you know that…

Isang nakatatawang alaala para sa Oluam nang may nagsabi na “Ay! Panalo na yan!” nang magsimula kaming mag-perform sa Filipino Month’s Jingle Contest sa pag-aakalang kami ay kasali pa sa naturang paligsahan (Kami po kasi ay na-disqualified sa kadahilanang hindi kami nakarating sa tinakdang oras).

Matapos pa nito ay sumali kami sa Rap Contest na ginanap sa parehong araw. Hiyang hiya kami sa aming ginawa. Sa katunayan, may naiyak pa sa amin dahil sa naramdamang kahihiyan. Matapos ang paligsahan, Kami ay tinanghal na nanalo sa ikatlong pwesto (tatlo lang po kasi naglaban eh!).
