NUTRITION MONTH
This group was first formed on the second week of July 2005 when DepEd released a memo inviting students to join the Nutrition Month’s Jingle Competition with the theme: “Batang May Kinabukasan Sa Wastong Nutrisyon Simulan.”
17 Students from IV-Diamond (4th Year Special Class) contributed their ideas in writing their songs and making groovy dance steps. When they were informed that only 12 members were needed, they decided to eliminate 4 members including Amvi Loie Guevarra, Melrick Paul Gogorza, April Rose Bautista and Juliane Rose Lingad. Abiegael Faith Lozada decided to leave the group for she has too many extra curricular activities.
The competition was held in PSTC Hall on July 22, 2005 wherein more than 20 sections have participated. It was a close fight. Each group has shown their boosting talents and best. But still, Oluam caught the judges’ eyes and won their hearts.
Oluam won the first place, followed by IV-Apollo and Sapphinx (III-Sapphire and III-Sardonyx)

FILIPINO MONTH
Oluam became popular when they won the first competition that’s why many sections were challenged to beat them in the Filipino month jingle-making competition with the theme: “Wikang Filipino: Simbolo ng Kultura at Lahing Pilipino.”
The group decided to think of a costume that would look modern-still-filipiñana. They also recruited students from their class and on the other section (IV-Emerald) to make a group of 17 members. Faith Lozada and Juliane Lingad rejoined the group with recruited members Janel Marie Narag, Eden Shiela Marie Ocfemia and Rina Rufil. They added the suffix “pay” on the group’s name (because they used fans to suit with the girl’s costume) as in “Oluampay”. But they changed it back to the original name when they found it “corny”.
The competition was held in the school library at exactly 2:00 pm. But they’re not yet ready with their piece and they’re still waiting for other members who have gone home to get their costumes. That was the reason why they were not able to get on time and got eliminated on the competition. Still, they got the chance to show what they’ve got but only as an intermission number.
IV-Tristan won the said competition.

YOUTH MONTH
This time, they have to choose the original members but eliminate two of them to get the 10 members needed. Louie Barrion and Lileth Claudel were eliminated through voting-out. But when Karl James Casanova decided to focus his attention to the project he’s doing with Lileth, and formerly eliminated members Amvi and Melrick, Louie replaced him.
They won the 1st place on the school level (held in Social Studies Faculty) and reached the 3rd place on the division level (held in Muntinlupa City Hall).

SOCIAL STUDIES MONTH
That time, they were preparing for the Youth Month Jingle competition (which was on the same month), Division level, so they were not able to join the competition.
IV-Apollo won the competition followed by III-Sardonyx on October 7, 2005 held on the school library.
SCIENCE MONTH
This jingle competition was the most unforgettable for them.
Oluam asked the leader of the former batch champion, Ms. Phoebe, to help them come up with an idea that will make them win. To make a group of 16, Karl James Casanova, Abigail Castilla, Lileth Claudel, John Paulo de Guzman, Juliane Rose Lingad & Abiegael Faith Lozada joined Oluam.
The DOST building was jam-packed with more or less a hundred students who wanted to witness this great event. Most of the participants had different styles on how they presented their jingle. The judges found it hard to decide who’ll be the winner. But after a minute of discussion, they told the participants that they really based the scores on the theme, “Gearing Up Through Science and Technology”, and on the originality of the jingle itself. IV-Discovery won the first place, followed by IV-Emerald on the 2nd place and IV-Diamond (Oluam) on the 3rd place.
Theme: “Gearing Up Through Science and Technology”
1. You – S Club 7
2. S Club Party – S Club 7
3. Together Forever – Rick Astley
MATH MONTH
After the Science’s Jingle Competition, they realized that they could win using their own style. So, they packaged their jingle with three pop songs of one artist, one original composition and a song from a musical movie. They created unique renditions for each song. For the second time, they used a beat box. Faith Lozada did not join the competition for only 15 members were needed.
On the year level, Oluam won the 1st place followed by IV-Atlantis and IV-Apollo. On the school level, Oluam won the 1st place and Sapphinx (III-Sapphire & III-Sardonix) on the 2nd place.
As our tradition, Sapphinx has to undergo screening. Mrs. Weng Tacsuan will choose 5 members from their group that will join Oluam on the Division Level. Dianne Siena, Marajoe Tarrayo, Jea Sata, John Reynald Solero and Justin Loja were chosen from the said screening.
They added some twists and combined selected songs from the two groups. The MNHS Band played the musical instruments for them.
On February 4, 2006, MNHS was hailed as “Champion” for the 4th time followed by Muntinlupa Business High School on the 2nd place and Pedro E. Diaz High School on the 3rd place.

VALUES MONTH
As the last jingle competition for that school year, they wanted it to be special. So they wrote the songs very carefully and made the dance steps gracefully.
They won the first place both on the year level and school level.
They joined the last jingle competition on February 22, 2006.
Theme: “Pamilyang Nagmamahalan, Susi Sa Kinabukasan”
1. Ka-Greenwich – Rivermaya

TRIVIA
While they were practicing their jingle, they thought of a name that could best represent their group. Then Karl suggested, “Can we use Oluam? Because our head always nod while we are singing.” What he meant on that word is MAULO, when the word is flipped.
The word “Oluam” was misread by the host of Nutrition Month’s Jingle-Making Competition as “Ol-woo-ham”
“Sinimulan natin to, kaya tatapusin natin ‘to!”, Emhy said. (She means that if Oluam won in the first competition, they will win up to the last competition).
Oluam was known to be always wearing red-schemed costumes.
The tradition of combining two groups started when III-Ivory ’05, being only a second placer, was chosen to compete for the division level. But they did not have the desired style to compete despite of their singing-dancing talents and their beautiful costume. So, IV-Emerald ‘05, who was the 1st placer, agreed to combine with III-Ivory ‘05. The two sections had a screening for who will be included in the combined group.
The first jingle-making competition held in Muntinlupa National High School for school year 2005-2006 was on July 22, 2005. The same number with the Last jingle-making competition, February 22, 2006.
The last official member of Oluam was “Rina Rufil” from IV-Emerald, the only non-Diamond among the group. She was titled “The Manager.”
Youth Month and Math Month were the only jingle contests they knew filmed. Marie Kathrine Antolin of IV-Diamond filmed Youth Month’s Jingle Competition and they don’t know who filmed the other. They don’t have a copy of both events.
Abigail Castilla was the first Oluam member who became the president of Supreme Student Government of Muntinlupa National High School.
Lileth Arciaga Claudel peacefully died on March 20, 2009 at the age of 19. She was the first and only (to date) Oluam member who passed away.
ISSUES and CONTROVERSIES
Oluam was alleged to be over-using their songs throughout the whole season of competitions.
April Rose Bautista joined the group for the Filipino Month but decided to leave again when some of the lyrics she wrote were changed without any notice.
